Dominique Hunziker was born in Zürich in 1944. Studied music in Zürich, Bern and Paris and attended masterclasses with Jean-pierre Rampal and Marcel Moyse. Since 1971 well known for the Duo de Flûtes with his wife Anne Utagawa. Many premières, commissioned works, recordings for radio and CDs of music for two flutes. > DiscographyFounded the unique flute ensemble les joueurs de flute in 1985 with his wife Anne Utagawa. Writes most of the transcriptions for it. > www.joueurs.ch Composer of solo- and chamber music. > Compositions Still during his career as a flutist and composer, he devotes himself more and more intensively to the visual arts. From 1984 to 2001 he creates mainly collages, until 2005 only in addition to painting, in between smaller objects using objets trouvés. Subsequently, he works with acrylic paint and with mixed techniques. The initial themes Landscapes, Sea-, Sky-, Waterscapes later replace Innerscapes and again and again abstract subjects that reflect moving and spatial events (Compositions, Mouvements, Variations, Éclats, Espaces) as well as impressions that come from nature or end up back with it (comme la nature, nature - resuscitée). Some works like have references to music and his compositional work.
